Company History

Vestal Steel Specialties was formed in 1980 by Walter Vestal.  Walter graduated from Texas A&M with an Agricultural Engineering degree.  He started in the steel business between the semesters in school.  Upon graduation, his practical experience and related educational background led him to follow a career in structural steel manufacturing.

Some of the larger projects that gave his early company a boost include various steel fabricating jobs for the San Antonio International Airport.  All of the guardrails at the airport are a product of Vestal Steel and a perfect example of the quality that goes into every job.  

Contractors turn to Vestal Steel when they need high quality, high profile steel products.  Over the years, Vestal Steel has fabricated railings and stairs, oil rig offshore platforms, water tower walking platforms, fast food facilities, hospitals, schools, decorative entryways, restaurants, stainless specialty equipment, and many, many others.
